1 1  Save LORD, for the godly ceases,
for the faithful men failed,
from amo-ong the children of men,
and vanity prevailed.

2 2  Unto his neighbor ev'ry one
does utter vanity:
They with a double heart do speak,
with lips of flattery. (2.1)

3 3 God (3.1) will cut off all flatt'ring lips,
the tongue that speaks great things;
4  who've said, With tongue we will prevail. (4.1)
The truth don't mean a thing.

4 Our lips belong to us. Who's he
that o'er us, thinks he's Lord?
5 Because the needy are sighing,
and oppressed are the poor, (5.1)

5 now I'll arise, sa-ith the Lord,
I'll set him in safety
from the one that blows smoke (5.2) at him,
loud words of vanity.

6 6  The words of the LORD are pure words,
tried as silver is tried,
tested in a furnace for earth,
seven times purified.

7 7  You shalt guard them. You'll preserve us
from this generation.
O Lord, they do abide fore'er,
among the sons of men.

8 8  The wicked walk on every side,
the pow'rs of hell grow bold,
when among the children of men
the worthless are extolled.

1 Chronicles 13:1  And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.
...
3  And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.
4  And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
...
7  And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.
8  And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
9  And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
10  And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and He smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
11  And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.
12  And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

Numbers 4:15  And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
...
19  But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
20  But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

1 Chronicles 15:1  And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2  Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3  And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
...
21  And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the eighth to overcome.

Hebrews 4:1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2  For indeed, we have had good news announced to us, even as they also, but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3  For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Ephesians 4:17  This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
...
25  Wherefore putting off the lie, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
