1 1 My heart's flowing with a good thing.
I speak of what I have done.
It's belonging unto the King,
who is God's beloved Son.

My tongue is a pen, a flowing pen,
       of a quick ready writer.
2   You are fairer than all the sons of men.
Grace through Your lips is made firm.

2 Therefore forever God blessed Thee.
3 Upon the thigh gird Your sword,
O Thou mighty Man, Your glory,
and it's also Your splendor.

4   And this Your splendor, make it prosperous.
Upon word of truth, do ride,
and word of meekness, of true righteousness,
and Your right hand shall Thee guide

3 to things that are fear-inspiring,
5 very sharp are Your arrows,
in place of Thee, peoples many,
fall in hearts of the King's foes.

6    O our God, Thy throne, it shall be Thine Own
         forever and forever.
The scepter upright making all things right
         is Your kingdom's firm scepter.

4 7 Thou hast lov-ed true righteousness,
and hated iniquity.
Therefore,  O-O God, Your Own God,
He thus has anointed Thee

with the oil of joy, of exultant joy
      above Your companions all.
8    Myrrh and aloes scent with much scraping blent
       upon all Thy garments fall

5 above palaces of ivory,
above me make You joyful.
9 There's daughters of kings composing
Your preciousness wonderful.

Behold the queen stands at Your own right hand
dressed in the gold of Ophir.
10    Hearken daughter and clearly understand,
         and also incline your ear.

6 And forget your own loved people
and the house of your father.
11  Therefore shall the King, beholding,
your chaste beauty so desire

for your Lord is He. Worship Him solely.
12    And the daughter of Ty-re
shall be with a gift. Of people, the rich,
         they shall entreat your favor.

7 13 The radiant daughter of the King,
all glori'us, she is within.
Embroidered is all her clothing
with gold thread interwoven.

14     In needlework fine of raiment divine,
she is brought in to the King.
Virgins after her, who are her neighbors,
shall be brought in unto Thee.

8 15 The King's palace, they shall enter
with joy and exultation.
16  In the place of your dear fathers,
there shall be to you children.

Them You shall ordain as princes to reign
in all of the earth's nations.
17     I will make your name remembered again
          unto all generations.

9 Therefore shall the peoples praise thee
 forever and forever.
 Great is indeed this mystery:
I speak of Christ and the church.
