I was born in Baltimore, MD, USA in 1953, the oldest of 7 children. We were nominally orthodox Jewish. I went to Hebrew School and was one of the few Jews of my generation to continue my religious education after my orthodox Bar Mitzvah at the Baltimore Hebrew College. I went away to college at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where I received a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engr. I got saved my junior year of college in the church in Cleveland.
After college I went to work at Ford Motor Co. in 1978 as a computer applications programmer, and am still working there developing automotive-specific tools on top of the company Computer-Aided-Design systems. I am most proud of developing the tool to analyze the driver's 360 degree field of vision to ensure that the driver has no blind spot big enough to lose a small car in, without having to turn his head around. Ford vehicles have the best driver vision of any automotive company - if you know how to aim your outside mirrors effectively.
I have been very happily married since 1983, and have 3 adult children.
Yours in Christ,
-Steve Miller
