Psalm 2 (tune: 8.8.8.8 #892 With All the Powr in Hvn and Earth)
audio file from hymnal.net

1 1 Why have nations so proudly raged,
and the peoples think vanity?
2  The kings of earth, they take their stand,
and rulers sat in company

2 against the LORD, against His Christ:
saying, Let us Their bonds tear up,
and cast away Their yoke from us.
We will not have Them rule o'er us.(3.1)

3 4 In heaven He that sits shall laugh.
The Lord has them in ridicule.
5 Then shall He speak to them in wrath,
and trouble them in displeasure.

4 6  And I, Myself, poured out My King
upon Zion, My holy mount.
7 What Jehovah said unto Me,
this sure decree, I will recount:

5 "Thou art My Son; this day have I,
I, even I, begotten Thee."
God's raising up His Son Jesus,
fulfilled this word to you and me.(7.1)

6 8  "Ask of Me, and I shall give Thee
Thine inheritance, the nations,
and the uttermost parts of earth
shall be for Thine own possession.

7 9 Thou shalt rule them with iron rod.
You'll shatter them like pottery."
He that o'ercomes unto the end,
he shall have this authority. (9.1)

8 10 Be wise therefore, now O ye kings:
Judges of earth, do learn this thing.
11 In fear, the LORD serve and rejoice,
being sober with trembl-ing.

9 12 Kiss the Son lest He be angry,
and from the way, perish you must,
when His wrath burns but a little.
Bless-ed are all who in Him trust.

Acts 4:25-28 Who, through the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, has said, ``Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples devise vain things?  26  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.''  27  For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,  28  To do what Your hand and Your counsel predestined to take place.

1 Corinthians 2:4-8 And my speech and my proclamation were not in persuasive words  of  wisdom but in demonstration  of  the Spirit and  of  power,  5  In order that your faith would not stand in the wisdom  of  men but in the power  of  God.  6  But we do speak wisdom among those who are full-grown, yet a wisdom not  of  this age nor  of  the rulers  of this age, who are being brought to nought;  7  But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom which has been hidden, which God predestined before the ages for our  glory ,  8  Which none  of  the rulers  of  this age have known; for if they had known, they would not have crucified the  Lord   of   glory ;

If Jehovah have moved thee against me, let him accept an oblation; but if the sons of men, cursed be they before Jehovah; for they have driven me out this day from adhering to the inheritance of Jehovah, saying, Go, serve other gods.
2 Samuel 14:16 For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.

8 My heritage is become unto me as a lion in the forest; it hath raised its voice against me: therefore have I hated it.
9 My heritage is unto me as a speckled bird of prey; the birds of prey round about are against her. Go, assemble all the beasts of the field, bring them to devour.

Ephesians 1:11-12  In whom also we were designated as an  inheritance, having been predestinated according to the purpose of the One who works all things according to the counsel of His will,  12  That we would be to the praise of His glory who have first hoped in Christ.

Matthew 25:32-40  And all the  nations  will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  33  And He will set the sheep on His right hand and the goats on the left.  34  Then the King will say to those on His right hand, Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  35  For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me a drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in,  36  Naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.  37  Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, Lord, when have we seen You hungry and have fed You, or thirsty and have given You a drink?  38  And when have we seen You a stranger and have taken You in, or naked and have clothed You?  39  And when have we seen You sick or in prison and have come to You?  40  And the King will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of these, the least of My brothers, you have done it to Me.

12:3-5  And another sign was seen in heaven; and behold, there was a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems.  4  And his tail drags away the third part of the stars of heaven, and he cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bring forth, so that when she brings forth he might devour her child.  5  And she brought forth a son, a man-child, who is to shepherd all the  nations  with an iron rod; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.

Revelation 15:3-4  And they sing the song of Moses, the slave of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and wonderful are Your works, Lord God the Almighty! 17  And it shall be, that whoso goeth not up of the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them shall be no rain.
18  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, neither shall it be upon them; there shall be the plague, wherewith Jehovah will smite the nations that go not up to celebrate the feast of tabernacles.
19  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that go not up to celebrate the feast of tabernacles.

21:23-26  And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon that they should shine in it, for the glory of God illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.  24  And the  nations  will walk by its light; and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it.  25  And its gates shall by no means be shut by day, for there will be no night there.  26  And they will bring the glory and the honor of the  nations  into it.

Ephesians 3:3  That by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I have written previously in brief,  4  By which, in reading it, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ,  5  Which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in spirit,  6  That in Christ Jesus the Gentiles are  fellow   heirs  and  fellow  members of the Body and  fellow  partakers of the promise through the gospel,

Acts 15:13  And when they finished speaking, James answered, saying, Men, brothers, listen to me.  14  Simeon has related how God first visited the  Gentiles  to take out from them a people for His name.  15  And with this the words of the prophets agree, even as it is written,  16  ``After these things I will return, and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen; and I will rebuild its ruins and erect it again,  17  So that the remainder of men may seek out the Lord, even all the  Gentiles  upon whom My name has been called,  18  Says the Lord, who is making these things known from of old.''

5  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
