1 1  Unto Thee, silence, praise belong,
O God, in Zion, there,
 and to Thee shall men pay a vow,
2 O Thou Who hearest prayer.

   As far as You shall all flesh come.
3 Sins are stronger than me.
   Our transgressions, You will cover,
       and our iniquity.

2 4 Him whom You choose and drawest near,
in Your courts he is blessed.
He abides there, and we shall be
satisfied with goodness

of Your house, Your holy temple.
5 By acts that are fearsome
in righteousness, You answer us,
God of our salvation,

3 Thou Confidence of all the ends
of distant land and sea,
6 Who by His pow'r set the mountains,
girded with strength mighty,

7 Who stills the raging of the seas,
the raging of their waves,
and the tumult of the peoples,
O Thou, mighty to save.

4 8  And they that dwell in far off parts,
at Thy signs do fear Thee.
You cause the sunrise and sunset
to shout in awe of Thee.

9 You visited earth, watered it.
You greatly enrich it.
The stream of God's full of water.
Their grain You prepare it,

5 for You prepare the earth thusly:
10 You fill up its furrows,
You smooth its clods, soften with rains,
You bless what thereof grows.

11 You crown the year of Your goodness,
 and Your paths flow fatness.
12 Pastures of the wilderness flow,
and hills put on gladness.

6 13 The meadows are covered with flocks
and with grain the valleys.
They shout for joy, they even sing
for good that is of Thee.

Unto Thee silence, praise belong,
O God, in Zion there,
and to Thee shall men pay a vow,
O Thou that hearest prayer.

Psalm 47:9 The willing-hearted of the peoples have gathered together, with the people of the God of Abraham. For unto God belong the shields of the earth: he is greatly exalted.
62:11 Once hath God spoken, twice have I heard this, that strength belongeth unto God.
12 And unto thee, O Lord, belongeth loving-kindness; for *thou* renderest to every man according to his work.

1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake, a fire: Jehovah was not in the fire.
And after the fire, a small voice, silence.
13 And it came to pass, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Psalm 87:2 The Lord loveth the gates of Zion
more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and draw near to hear, rather than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they know not that they do evil.
 2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thy heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in the heavens, and thou upon earth; therefore let thy words be few.
 3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business, and a fool's voice through a multitude of words.
 4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
 5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
 6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an inadvertence. Wherefore should God be wroth at thy voice, and destroy the work of thy hands?
 7 For in the multitude of dreams are vanities; so with many words: but fear God.

Acts 18:18 And Paul, having yet stayed there many days, took leave of the brethren and sailed thence to Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila, having shorn his head in Cenchrea, for he had a vow;
21:23 This do therefore that we say to thee: We have four men who have a vow on them;
James 5:15 and the vow of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he be one who has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.

Psalm 132:1 A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:
 2 How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
 3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
 4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
 5 Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

Genesis 11:31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth together out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to go into the land of Canaan, and came as far as Haran, and dwelt there.
13:3 And he went on his journeys from the south as far as Bethel; as far as the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai;
12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan; and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain, and pitched tents as far as Sodom.

Amos 4:6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet ye have not returned as far as Me, saith Jehovah.
 7 And I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece of land was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
 8 And two, three, cities wandered unto one city, to drink water, and were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned as far as Me, saith Jehovah.
 9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew; the palmer-worm hath devoured the multitude of your gardens, and your vineyards, and your fig-trees and your olive-trees: yet have ye not returned as far as Me, saith Jehovah.
 10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, taking away captive your horses; and I made the stench of your camps to come up, even into your nostrils: yet have ye not returned as far as Me, saith Jehovah.
 11 I have overthrown among you, like God's overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet have ye not returned as far as Me, saith Jehovah.

John 14:6 Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.

Revelation 3:12 He that overcomes, him will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more at all out; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven, from my God, and my new name.
Psalm 84: 10 for a day within Your courts is
     better than a thousand.
     I would rather in my God's house
     upon the threshold stand
     then dwell in tents of wickedness

Romans 3:29 Is God the God of Jews only? is he not of the nations also? Yea, of nations also:

Matthew 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
 25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
 26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
 27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Mark 4:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Jude 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
Job 38:8 And who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst forth, issuing out of the womb?
 9 When I made the cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it;
 10 When I cut out for it my boundary, and set bars and doors,
 11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come and no further, and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
Psalm 89:9 *Thou* rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, *thou* stillest them.
 10 Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.
Jeremiah 5:22 Will ye not fear me? saith Jehovah. Will ye not tremble at my presence, who have set the sand a bound for the sea by a perpetual decree, and it shall not pass it? and its waves toss themselves, but they do not prevail; and they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

Psalm 107:23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,
 24 These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.
 25 For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:
 26 They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;
 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:
 28 Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;
 29 He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:
 30 And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Isaiah 51:15 And I am Jehovah thy God, who raiseth the sea, so that its waves roar: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
Jeremiah 31:35 Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for light by day, the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for light by night, who stirreth up the sea so that the waves thereof roar, -- Jehovah of hosts is his name:
Ezekiel 26:3 therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.

Acts 19:23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
 24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;
 25 Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.
 26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:
 27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
 28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
 29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.
 30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.
 31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
 32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
 33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defense unto the people.
 34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
 35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
 36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
 37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.
 38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.
 39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.
 40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
 41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
20:1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.
